Arnprior’s most festive tradition is back! Grab your ugliest Christmas sweater, lace up your winter boots, and get ready to spread some holiday cheer at the 8th Annual Penny Stashick Ugly Sweater Walk, taking place Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Robert Simpson Park.
The fun kicks off bright and early at 8:00 a.m. as participants take to the streets for a 2 km walk through historic downtown Arnprior. Whether you come solo, with family, or as part of a team, this heartwarming community event is the perfect way to celebrate the season, get active, and give back.
Honouring Penny’s Legacy
Held each year in loving memory of Penny Stashick, a cherished Arnprior resident who lost her battle with ovarian cancer, this event celebrates everything Penny loved most — the joy of the holidays, her boundless generosity, and her ability to make others smile.
Since its beginning in 2018, the Ugly Sweater Walk has raised more than $170,000 to help purchase life-saving medical equipment for the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital. Each step taken continues Penny’s legacy of kindness and community spirit, supporting quality local healthcare for families across the region.
