Arnprior Regional Health Foundation, together with Arnprior Regional Health (ARH), proudly marked an important milestone on January 20, 2026, with an official ribbon cutting celebrating the arrival of new state-of-the-art endoscopy equipment. Donors, ARH staff, and community partners gathered to recognize the impact this investment is already having on patient care.
Endoscopy is an essential diagnostic procedure that allows physicians to examine the inside of the body using a thin, flexible tube equipped with a camera and light. It is commonly used to investigate digestive concerns, abdominal pain, bleeding, and swallowing difficulties, and plays a key role in detecting conditions such as ulcers, inflammation, polyps, and cancer. At Arnprior Regional Health, more than 2100 endoscopy procedures are performed each year, underscoring the importance of having reliable and modern equipment to support patient care close to home.
The new equipment is fully installed and already in use, providing immediate benefits to patients and their care teams. While this news is a reason to celebrate, the fundraising campaign to support the purchase of the equipment is still ongoing. The Scope for Hope Endoscopy Campaign has a goal of $800,000, and thanks to the generosity of donors and supporters, 65% of the goal has been reached.
“The impact of this equipment is already being felt by Arnprior Regional Health’s patients and care teams,” said Ben Gardiner, Executive Director of the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation. “Having this technology in place allows Arnprior Regional Health to continue delivering timely and high-quality diagnostic care right here in our community. While we are proud of how far we have come, there is still important work ahead to fully fund this investment.”
